Of course everyone knows just how cool bebop music is, it seemed that with every ep i saw there was just another tune to love=)
one that i found really hard to throw, had to listen to it a few times, is the one at the end of episode 24 when ed is leaving the bebop, faye is finding her past and spike and jet are seeing whos gonna eat the last egg.

this song is just a ripper and i just want to know if anyone knows anything about it and if i can download it again. also there are a lot of soundtracks available, but i just want to to get the one with all the songs on it that u hear in the series.

lets hear it for the blues...

Actually, I think the song you are talking about might be "The Egg And I".

The first Cowboy Bebop OST that came with the US box set is very good and contains most of my favourite songs from the series, including the one in question.

Also, I'm fairly sure Bebop is a version of Jazz, not Blues .

Josh you should probably put a spoiler warning on the start of your post.

PS The egg and I was played in the episode where Jet and Spike went to find a beta player, i dont know if its the same one in ep 24.

If you like the music, support it by buying the OSTs. It's well worth it anyway... without the music, Cowboy Bebop wouldn't be as great as it is now...

thanks you monkeysama

this is the song i was talking about

musicians:The Seatbelts
info: A very touching song, especially with the way it's used in the series. This is probably my favorite (or at least, second favorite) Steve Conte song on any of the soundtracks.
sessions: Hard Luck Woman
lyrics: by Tim Jensen -

I close my eyes and I keep seeing things
Rainbow waterfalls
Sunny liquid dream

Confusion creeps inside me raining doubt
Got to get to you
But I don't know how

Call me, call me
Let me know it's alright
Call me, call me
Don't you think it's 'bout time
Please won't you call and

*Ease my mind
Reasons for me to find you
Peace of mind
What can I do
to get me to you?

I had your number quite some time ago
Back when we were one
But I had to grow

Ten thousand years I've searched it seems and now
Gotta get to you
Won't you tell me how?

Call me, call me
Let me know you are there
Call me, call me
I wanna know you still care
Come on now won't you

* Repeat

Ease my mind
Reasons for me to find you
Peace of mind
Reasons for living my life
Ease my mind
Reasons for me to know you
What can I do
to get me to you?

*listens to 'call me call me'*
its a heaps good song love all of Steve Conte's songs (probably some of the best on the soundtrack(s) IMHO) but personally my favourite is "Want It All Back" (Mai Yamane)
so good o.O *presses play and gets all jumpy as the song starts* ooo yeah.

ill search for it in the forums, but if it isn't there ill post a new topic about "http://www.jazzmess.com" - can get all soundtracks from there and links to buy them off amazon
(Edit: only found it once, but ill leave it in this topic. fear of making a useless entirely new topic ;P hehe)

What does one have to do to get the release licensing for Bebop Soundtracks here in Australia (or New Zealand in my case)? And how can I help?

I would be a proud owner/consumer of Anime soundtracks if only they were more availiable. And I know some others that would agree with me on that.

Try www.tamarket.com.au - but make sure you only buy from the "original japanese/usa" catagories to be sure you don't get a bootleg. www.animeanytime.com.au may also be able to help, or www.cartoongallery.com.au.

Yep, and I've tried logging in and it won't let me. I tried from another IP address and it told me that my password was wrong even though I know it was right. I'll try again tomorrow morning, maybe the server is just having problems. Thanks for letting me know what the reply was anyway.

Amazingly, I'm considering paying ~$50 for this cd of which I've only heard one song, yet I cant imagine paying $120 for the cowboy bebop series. This song is starting to get to me...

You will actually find that Bebop, in terms of music styles, is an old term. It would now be classed as something like Funk....There you have it

You will also find that Jazz and Blues are very similar, in terms of today's classifications. Blues and Jazz both emerged around the same time. However Blues often tends to have more structure and order...

Blues, or Jazz, or wateva. It's from Cowboy Bebop, thanks to Kanno and it's neat
I've been listening to it for nearly a year, and it ain't boring me yet. But it might be having bad psychological effects on me... =\

The song at the end of episode 24 is "call me call me" and is on OST 3: Blue

My order of preference (of the ones I own) is:
OST 3: Blue
OST 1
Knockin on Heavens Door OST (2 disc)
OST 2: No Disc
Cowboy Bebop: Vitaminless

I got all of these of Tamarket a little while back for like $22 each with the two FLCL Soundtracks so you can get them from Australia

For that price I would place a decent sized bet on them being bootlegs Smile

Seeing as Madman don't have the rights to the anime soundtracks, do they have any legal ability to order these companies to stop selling bootleg versions of the soundtracks?

Favourites of mine...and yes I do realise that this thread has sort of trotted off in another direction but I'm bored and I want to have my say because I listen to the Bebop OST looped everyday.

+ Blue
+ Rush
+ Yo Pumpkin Head
+ Ask DNA
+ What planet is this?
+ Want it all back
+ Words that we couldn't say

Really I love all of it <3<3<3 but they are my favourites ^^

my fav bebop song is Cosmic Dare (Pretty With a Pistol). It is on the Ask DNA mini-OST and is featured in the movie. I also heard a rumour that the woman singing is Wendee Lee

Madman does have the right to distribute the soundtracks - otherwise the DVD's would be sans music.

If shintokyo is selling CD's that it knows to be pirated, or have not taken reasonable steps to ensure the discs they are selling are NOT pirated (or bootlegs - whatever), they are liable to the copyright holder (either bandai or Yoko Kanno) as though they had illegally stamped the discs' themselves.

Probably no help or interest to ppl in the forums, but that's my 2 cents.

Oh damn, now I am in debt.

I've just started re-watching the Bebop movie, but i've got one question about the soundtrack ~ does anyone know what the music playing during the trailer is? It starts off with Ask DNA and Tank, but then it switches to a third song that, so far, I can't identify!

I've got the Movie OST, but it's not on there. Any ideas where I can find it? Thanks!
