The best would have to be "Romeo Must die".
I especially loved the soundtrack.

The funniest would have to be "Kids from shaolin". I personly think it is one of Jet Li's funniest films.

If you think Romeo Must Die is the best HK film ever ... you're really missing out.

My favourite would probably be The Killer...

Others : A Better Tommorrow, City On Fire, Prison On Fire, Police Story, Project A, Drunken Master 2, Eastern Condors etc.

Hmm... my fave HK movies would probably be the Young and Dangerous series. Y@D 3 was my fave out of themall, although I have yet to watch Y@D: Prequel.

It's nice to see the mainstream slowly getting into HK movies, although if possible, you should check out authentic HK material. You'd be suprised how much better they are to the US produced counterparts...

Romeo Must Die was S*** It isn't even a HK movie - stupid Hollywood ruining Jet Li's career.

Drunken Master 2 is very good - i love Drunken fighting and the fight scenes are great.

Hey Teak I practice it in Melbourne too! I practice at the official WC headquarters for Melbourne. It's linked to the China branch where do you train? I'm at about a grade 2 1/2 level. We don't train with belts or sashes we train Hong Kong style which is in street clothes so we get used to fighting in them. I love doing chi sau it's my fave technique.

I've only seen Rumble in the Bronx and Romeo Must Die. RMD had nice fight scenes, and something of a storyline (with plot twists and everything!) but if you look at it as a movie, I don't suppose it was the best think I've ever seen.
As for Rumble.. I didn't take it very seriously, though I did like it.
I guess I don't have a favourite HK film... yet.

My Favourite is "Once Upon a Time in China" or "Vampire Master".

OUATIO because of the awesome actions scenes with Jet Li and VM because it is so funny.

But I would not class "Romeo must Die" as a HK film because it was made in Hollywood.

I love lots of HK, but my favourites would probably be

1)Who Am I (Jackie Chan)
2) Once Upon a Time in China II (but then the whole series was good)
3)Police Story II and III
4)The Fong Sai Yuk Series
5)And of course the old Godzilla Movies

Everyone should see more of the older HK Movies! Romeo Must Die and Rush Hour cannot hold a candle to the authentic Asian Movies

In that case I haven't seen any. I mean I probably saw a couple on SBS in the past, but none I recall.

Due to the nudity in the EGS films, I didn't think of them as HK films... I guess I'm prejudiced and assume HK Film = Martial Arts.

In any case.. they weren't bad, but I didn't particularly like them. I don't think I ever finished watching any.
