I don't know if Siren's DVDs are the same, but I urgently need help identifying the funky sax/horn instrumental that plays over the main menu of the R1 Blue Submarine #6 volume 2 DVD.

I don't have much more to go on than that, except that it doesn't seem the same song as the snippet of sax tune that plays over the (short) credits.

Is it the same as the song he sings in episode 12 that he made up himself? If so, it's "Teru teru momiji". If not, I've no idea. Smile

Turns out the song is called "Harmon", from the Blue Sub OST #1 CD.

The original YKK OVAs or the new "Quiet Country Cafe" OVAs?

Edit: I have another request for help.

I think this song is from an anime series called "Gravitation" (which I haven't seen), though it may be from a video game of the same name.

It has a fast drum machine beat behind it, and would be high-energy pop or dance. I think the vocal is male but it's not particularly low pitched, and there is a very catchy synth "riff" repeated quite often (including being the song intro). Unfortunately I can't make out any of the Japanese lyrics well enough to transcribe them. There is some English, which may or may not say "smile again" and "sell your soul" at various points. Or maybe it's not English and I'm projecting my own stupidity. Smile

Not much to go on, but if any of you are Gravitation fans you might recognise some of that mess.

I'm pretty sure fom your description that the song you're referring to is "Blind Game Again" from the Gravitation anime series ^_^

It's sung by Kotani Kinya (yes, male vocals *L*) with music and lyrics by Mad Soldiers... I think... ^^;; Don't quote me on the music and lyrics bit.

Hope this helps!

Bwah, as soon as I saw your post, I thought you were talking about the song on the CD I gave you that I forgot the name of at the last minute. >_< But yeah, it's Blind Game Again. *has all the Gravi songs/background music*

Wow. Good idea.

OK, here's one:

It is NOT JPop or Anime music...

I saw it as a clip on Recovery aaaaages ago (I can't remember exactly, it was at the peak of Recovery's popularity. God they have to bring something like Recovery back).

Basically this is how the clip went...
It was set in an tower in a very futuristic Earth. There is a guy and he gets a phonecall from his girlfriend (or someone) on his mobile video phone. She starts getting undressed and tells him her room number - 6G or something. At the same time, there is a maitenance man working on some wires in another part of the building. So the guy is gliding along on some kind of floating platform, taking him to wherever it is that room 6G is. Suddenly, the maintenance guy screws up and the wires. The transmission between the guy and his girlfriend screws up a little, but controls itself over a while. She restarts undressing, only the room number has been confused, and is now 6F or something similar. So basically the guy jumps into some board meeting naked, and there is much hilarity all round, at which point the clip ends.

This is how the song went...
It is very electronic, I got the impression that maybe it was regurgitator maybe. Maybe not.
Anyway, the basis of the song was a whole lot of samples of people saying "mushi mushi?".
Other samples include...
"I picked up the phone... and she said 'mushi mushi!'"
"Thankyou for using AT&T"
The melodic basis of the song was a very Japanese sounding 'La, la la la la la la, la laaaaaaaaaaa'. Very 'nice' tune.

Yes yes, that's all I can recall. It was a great song. I would be mega appreciative if anybody could name it for me, I saw it a couple of times on Recovery but only ever after the name had come up ><

And I'm pretty sure it was not an amateur band or artist due to the quality of the clip (quite high, really).

Cheers!

It's not JPop or Anime, so it shouldn't be posted in this thread.

The song is "Moshi Moshi" by B(if)tek.

The full metal alchemist op from the TV show is called "Merissa" (Melissa). Done by a.k. homma.

All this is taken from the credits at the opening, so don't yell at me if it's incorrect.

I'm looking for a bgm played in Love Hina in I think eps #12 where it has a sort of flute melody played near the end of the episode (where Motoko comes out wearing a kimono and looking at herself in the mirror). Anyone know what the title of this bgm is called? I t would be greatly appreciated if someone knows thanks.

If you're talking about the guitar music (this is also the theme song for Zoids: New Century), it's an instrumental version of "No Future" by Ayumi Hamasaki.

I went hunting for that myself. Very Happy It's called "Kiss me Sunlight". No clue who it's by though.

I'm looking for the name of song in Fruits Basket....The piano solo version of this song is played in the credits of episode 25 and the vocal version is played towards the end of ep 18 (I think...it's the episode where the Yuki fanclub visit Hana-chan's house).

Any ideas?

the opening song in gunslinger girl is "the light before we land" by the delgados, a fantastic song imo. :D

...

does anyone know what the opening theme to platonic chain is called? i'm not even sure if it's actually a song or just a tune written for the series.

You'll have to be a bit more specific, for what battles was the music used for? There are many Kenshin battle themes.

What is the name of that song *thinks it is by Moby* in which the tiny little CG aliens come to Earth, but are too small to get the attention of anyone except *thinks is Moby*? Has the Annoying/Repetitive/Addictive tune...

Yes, I am aware I'm writing this....

I'm just interested in learning if there is an instrumental version of the fruits basket theme song, like played on the 4th DVD when they showed the DVD's and posters - it was an extra but I can't remember what it was! I have the version played in ep 26 during the akito scene, but I'm still desperate for the other one.

Well, my hat goes off to the one who can idenfity a song used in Cowboy Bebop - Jamming With Edward. It's an addictive, light song which is played two times in the episode, once towards the middle and again at the very end, when we see the massive drawing on the face of Earth. It is also used in this Mausland movie:

Would that be "Cats on Mars" from the second OST?

*is just guessing*

whats the names of the OP's of full metal alchemist and gunslinger girl?

The full metal alchemist op from the TV show is called "Merissa" (Melissa). Done by a.k. homma.

All this is taken from the credits at the opening, so don't yell at me if it's incorrect.

I won't yell. It is actually performed by Porno Graffiti.

a.k. homma is a the guy who arranges most of Porno Graffiti's songs. He also arranged Hamasaki Ayumi's "A Song For XX".
